JOB DESCRIPTION

CBS Interactive Music (CBS IMG) is looking for a well-rounded, seasoned marketer who can lead marketing strategy and execution for our brands. This role will create and execute effective multimedia marketing campaigns with an emphasis on digital marketing and social media activation/optimization.

Reporting to the Head of WW Marketing, the marketing director will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing programs to grow CBS IMG's awareness, relevance and engagement across a variety of constituents: end users, advertisers and industry/press.

The role will be responsible for (1) developing and maintain brand guidelines for all the business units, (2) and developing marketing strategies and communications plans for promoting our products, franchises, and brands.

This role requires experience across various marketing vehicles such as marketing communications, promotions, product marketing, events and partnership marketing, in the strategy planning as well as GTM execution. A deep understanding of digital engagement and social media marketing strategies and tactics is essential.

Ideally, the candidate will have experience in social media, music, and technology within consumer brands.

Daily responsibilities include:

1. Developing and enforcing brand guidelines across CBS IMG and its properties

2. Manage annual global marketing plan and calendar

3. Devise and implement key messages, positioning and marketing strategy for various product launches such as beta launches, new feature sets, content franchises, music events

4. Create and execute subsequent GTM and sustain marketing plans

5. Help develop and execute the partnership marketing strategy

6. Work with other marketing counterparts within the CBS family to leverage cross-promotions and assets

7. Partner with stakeholders in the editorial teams to ensure content franchises and events have effective marketing plans.

8. Work closely with sales managers and to ensure we have a strong message tailors to advertisers.

9. Provide insights in marketing best practices and stay abreast of new digital marketing trends

10. Manage creative execution either through an internal resource or external agencies

11. Utilize online metrics and data to inform and gauge marketing activities

12. Collaborate with PR to develop PR strategy and ideas

13. Managing a marketing and creative services team

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- 8+ years of relevant work experience

- Proven track record with architecting and driving marketing plans and execution

- Marketing leadership experience

- Global marketing, multiple subsidiary experience

- Comfortable across multiple marketing disciplines

- Experienced in creating successful social media engagement

- Comfortable with analysing web metrics and providing actionable insights

- Experience in a cross-functional environment

- BA/BS minimum

- Self-starter and creative thinker
